Join us for a conversation between Dr Funke Adepoju, current AIG Visiting Fellow and Director-General of the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria, and Emily Jones, Professor of Practice in Public Policy, on the future of public sector training and its role in driving effective governance.

Drawing on Dr Adepoju’s work during her time at the Blavatnik School, the discussion will explore a shift away from traditional training models focused on courses delivered and participants certified towards approaches that prioritise implementation, accountability, and measurable impact. It will consider how public sector training institutions can evolve from centres of learning into engines of reform, supporting stronger policy delivery and institutional performance.

Speakers:

  • Funke Adepoju Aig-Imoukhuede, Foundation (AIG) Visiting Fellow of Practice 2025-26
  • Emily Jones, Professor of Practice in Public Policy
