ISPRIC continues to advance its vision of establishing a satellite campus in The Gambia, with preparations and engagements having been underway for some time.
As part of The Gambia’s recently introduced Transnational Education Policy, the National Accreditation and Quality Assurance Authority (NAQAA) requires a comprehensive verification exercise to be conducted at the home campus of any institution seeking to establish operations within the country.
To support this process, a three-member delegation from NAQAA undertook a verification visit to Mali. The delegation was accompanied by ISPRIC’s liaison representative in The Gambia, who facilitated the exercise and supported engagement between the institutions.
The visit also provided an opportunity for broader collaboration with higher education stakeholders in Mali. Meetings were held with officials from the Malian Accreditation Agency (AMAQ-SUP), the Directorate of Higher Education, and Mali’s Minister of Higher Education, Honourable Boureima Kansaye. These discussions are aimed at strengthening regional cooperation and promoting quality assurance in higher education.
ISPRIC intends to offer programmes in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines through its planned Gambian campus, contributing to skills development and academic excellence in the region.
The verification exercise marks an important milestone in ISPRIC’s expansion efforts and demonstrates the institution’s commitment to meeting the highest standards of quality and accreditation.
